About Trinity Center
A true special gem nestled away in a maritime forest located on the gorgeous, pristine sixty-two acres from Bogue Sound to the Atlantic Ocean in Pine Knoll Shores, NC. “Maritime forests are shoreline estuaries along coastal barrier islands that are relatively pristine and support a great diversity of plants and animals. Maritime forests remain largely untouched by commercial development and closely resemble the woodlands where Native Americans lived and early colonists settled hundreds of years ago. Trees, bushes, and other plants in maritime forests and estuaries withstand strong winds, periodic flooding, and salt spray. Many species of mammals and reptiles make the forests their home, and thousands of birds migrate to maritime forests each year”, excerpt from the National Ocean Service website.
The Trinity Center is a retreat and conference center owned by the Episcopal Diocese of East Carolina. Enjoy walking on the shoreline with the Trinity Center’s 1,500 feet of private sandy beach on the “Crystal Coast.” Trinity Center also maintains two swimming pools on its property – one is used primarily for youth groups, while the other is reserved for the conferencing groups.
Rooms are comfortable in a “hotel-style” type room with one double bed and one twin bed with its own private bathroom with stand-up shower, a dresser, vanity, and nightstand with alarm clock and reading lamp, and are individually heated and cooled. To maintain the retreat atmosphere, the rooms purposefully are left without the telephone, TV, and Internet connection. Towels and bedding will be provided, but please bring your own beach towels to the center. To keep costs reasonable, the Trinity Center does not offer daily maid service.
Our group will be housed in one of the clusters at the Trinity Center, which will include a shared living room for our group only. Simply walk out your door, cross the deck and enter the living room to find comfortable couches and chairs, coffee tables, cable TV/DVD, kitchenette with small refrigerator, microwave, ice maker and coffee maker with coffee supplies, a gas log fireplace and telephone. The shared living room has WIFI with coffee and tea available around the clock.

Chelisa Alavedra’s BIO
Chelisa is passionate about self-empowering people through disciplines such as yoga, meditation, health and wellness, and enjoys sharing these tools with her students through her own life experiences and trainings. After leaving the audio engineering industry, she decided after seven years of continuous yoga practice to pursue her yoga certification with her teacher of five years, Larry Schultz, in the Ashtanga Vinyasa Rocket system in January of 2009. Her passion for teaching yoga was ignited, but soon realized that most of the individuals in the health and wellness industry did not have any business skill sets to be truly successful. While most people in the industry were leaving their corporate careers, Chelisa did the opposite and was accepted to a prestigious MBA program at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA where she graduated two years later with an MBA in Marketing & Management.
Since then, she has coupled her passion for yoga and business by focusing and providing tools to empower others through yoga, meditation, workshops, and retreats. She is an E-RYT 200 Certified Yoga Instructor with Yoga Alliance, YACEP member and is currently working on her 500-hour training. She also is the Marketing and PR Director for her husband’s design agency creavistic, LLC.
